Signature style of mine

(ada hati???)

Since I started quilling I think I have been developing one kind of style.

Its a pain in the ass in the first place. Consume a lot, I mean a lot a lot a lot of patience, time and your energy. Backache is normal.

And its not something that I can be proud of.

Maybe an amateur who just fall in love in quilling and learn it in a day can do the style.

Eventhough its kinda boring but I dont know why I keep on repeating it.

Most of my handmade cards/guestbooks were full of that coils.

THAT BASIC COILS.

Its boring I know. Its normal. Nothing special. But stupidly require more time and more backache.

Something that is stupidly boring and normal is what my style is.

Which can be easily interpret my personality.

SIMPLE AND BORING.

Hahahaha.

Its just me. And Im loving it!

And I want to make millions of that basic coils. Tons of 'em! Tons and tons and sleep on 'em.

Sure hell my life would be super fantastic!

Just Married :)

Wedding decorations and props

It was nothing. Really. And I only thought about it 2 weeks before my wedding.

My head would seriously explode if I did not make 'em happenned. And the worst part was I happenned to have an idea but what I did was definitely not what I wanted to do in the first place! But I dont mind anyway. As long as I did something that very meaningful to me for my wedding.

And if you did follow my blog back then, I was really into quilling and got super excited to have something quilled for the wedding. Instead I found out I was super busy with works and wedding preparations so I just have to forget about my quilling project.

Despite all of that, my love for paper is really is something. So by the time the countdown ticking at the very last 30-ish day I knew I need to have these as memories to remember for my entire life. Hehe

This is the signage for my solemnization.

The book I ordered from As Simple Rhyme. I call this one Buku Rajin (hardworking book)

This is an A4 sketch book. This is Buku Malas (lazy book)

** book = me hehehehe

Props for the photobooth. A bit small. If I happen to open for orders I might have these bigger. Also I was planning on using this for my outdoor photoshoot.

I dont know what to call this. But this is the only table decor I managed to make. Haha

Love kebab. Also props for the photobooth and outdoor photoshoot. Hehe

I'm loving this one. I intended on making hanging hearts on this frame and turned out I found myself happily made these bunch of pinwheels.

I did make some pinwheels back then for my cake topper. I happened to find out my vendor also decorate for her customers using pinwheels. Pinwheels are super easy. Haha

I will posted out some real photos from my reception real soon once I get them from my photographer.

Hopefully this post giving some ideas for those brides to be :)

oh my topiaries?

I am so in love with my own topiaries. I love them!

And I really am miss them so much since my friend already adopted them last Friday. How I wish I had taken thousands pictures of them. Hmmphhh ohhh I am exaggerating now am I?

The flowers are handmade dyed with purple, pink and turqoise. How lovely they look together. I think it is the perfect combination :)

And to be fair with the champagne glasses, it was love at first sight. You know when you are searching for the right thing then you just saw the perfect one for that thing, ohhh you just have to buy it, right?

And I got it from ikea. I love love love ikea and who doesnt?

The topiaries are the best so far for my type of flowers I have made before since I am not the flowery type of girl. Eheeemmm. GIRL? Whatever. I mean I do love flowers but I feel so wrong when I wanted to do flowery quillings or cards.

I did plan on doing flowery theme for the guestbook. But I think my hands didnt take orders on doing flowers. I just did what I feel like myself. If not it will end up like shit. Believe me, so true.

Anyway, I hope you guys love the topiaries like I do coz now I just feel like wanted to call my friend and ask her to give 'em back. Argghhhh!!

Fuhhh sounds like I am super weirdo right now, ehh?

Ok. Gotta go.

the friend of art

The other day, I went to Art Friend at The Garden, Mid Valley. I went there because I was looking for something, instead, I bought a piece of tracing paper. Haha

I was being so obsessed about the whole art thing and whatnot, and was able to find the art store, and to walk out with empty handed just not like what I had expected. Hmmphhh.

When I reached home, I put the tracing paper on the desk trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it. And fortunately, yesterday... I discovered something :D

I am so excited to blog about this but I have to have prove! Hahaha

So, I am currently thinking about this new project despite of my 2 pending projects *haha, like always*. And this project is so special, that I asked my sister to pay for it. Hahaha. I wanted to do more projects but, my walls are pretty occupied with my own projects so, I had to use hers and ask for money :P

Anyway, wish me luck on this and will be posting out soonest about this!

ideas!

I was searching for ideas for my next project *even though I still have 2 unfinished projects on the way* then luckily I stumbled across THIS. And I stunned.

THAT WAS MY KIND OF IDEAS LAST NIGHT before I went to bed that the ideas came out of nowhere while I was in the toilet for toothbrushing and washing up.

I was thinking that maybe I could start a new business for wall decorations, I kinda like the ideas and whatnot. And yes, I like typography. I like it a lot. I love it!

I have to admit, I have limitations. Some artists do *calling myself an artist is just wayyy too funny, hehe*. I'm not as talented as others might think. I only do what I wanted to do, and even if I'm pushing myself towards the limitations, I'm kind of like doing what I NEVER FEEL MY HEART WAS AT IT.

Flowery is not my type of thing. That's my limitations. But I can do all sort of cute flowers :D

I'm into modern designs. I'm more to minimalist. I like simple, not complicated designs. I also love retros :)

That's why I'm into typography. I know I can't be as good as Yulia but I have my own personal style.

Wish me luck on this!

I'm planning to make the simplest but meaningful wall decorations.

Yup, if all of this going to happen, I will let you know!

Till then, bye2! :D

p/s : I am so going to make this work! Pray for me :)

watercolor project - part 2

I think calling this project as watercolor project not as sweet as its sound. Heh. Because I use watercolor for this project one time only and maybe after finish quilling for touch up. Then again, whatever it is called, then it is just a piece of my other lame art work. Huarghhh!!

You know, when you feel the vibes in you, then you continue quilling... when something gone wrong, you stop. Then you start again, then you get tired, you stop again.. and it will go on and on and on like that until it finished. Hah.

But, this project is special. I plan to frame it and to use it as signage on my solemnization day. Which I really hope *crossing fingers* that it will turn out so well, so that my wedding pictures will be all turn out beautifully. Heh. Keep dreaming on bebehh!

Anyway, I started to continue on this project this week because last time, the paper I used had finished and I was so lazy to go to the store to buy some of the papers and yeah... it stranded on the floor like it never existed for weeks. Haha

Ok, ok so please, please, please close your eyes if you scared you might having a nightmare after seeing my scary piece of art :P

close up

I wanted to add some space for more quilling :)

Not scary enough eh? Fine. I'm relieved. Haha

So far, I think this is ok lahh. I'm no expert on this so I only did what I had in mind. And what my heart feels right :D

I will go ga-ga if this project turns out very well. I might even sleep with it. Dare me. Haha

I'm counting days when will it be completed... so I can show it to you guys.

I can't wait! :)

my version of KL view

As promised, and as lazy as always, I'm suddenly rajin to get the USB cable from my bag and yes.....to transfer the pictures of the completed KL view quilling of my version. Heh.

Anyway, I can't find a time to go to the shop to frame this art piece of mine. But I'm planning to maybe some time around this weekend because I can't wait to see it nicely framed and to be hanged on my wall :)

So enjoy the pictures yaa!!

With flash on, but I like the design of the coils. It's cute.

Close up.

Honestly, I think I need to brush up my skills.

The KL Twin Tower

The coils.

The KL Tower.

So yeahh.... I'm satisfied with the outcome. I may be planning on doing this type of quilling for other views too coz it's easy, and it's pretty cute I guess. I may even planning on opening this for orders, but this one may take a lot of time, so please bear with me ok?

You can have whatever views (buildings, houses etc) you want, just email me the picture :)

watercolor project

I remembered about the thing my sister told me about how plain my word puzzle project look because the background is just plain white. So this is my answer, IT IS A WORD PUZZLE, so it is what it is. Haha

Yesterday, I kept thinking how I'm going to make a plain white cardboard into one piece of colored art. Yes, the shop also sell the one with colors too. But I want COLORS on the board not a color. And my passionate brain kept going and going and finally I got the idea of using watercolor!! I even googled on how to paint using watercolor! *Like I never used one when I was in primary school.. daaa!*

I got so excited to make this work so after work I went to the stationary shop nearby to buy some watercolor jars, the biggest brush in the shop, a plain white cardboard and some colored papers. It only cost me less than 10 ringgit.

Once I reached home, I rushed over to my room and started doing the project. It really got on my nerve, so I had to let it out of the system :P

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy :)

Yeahhh see the messy strokes. Urghh!

This is art :P
Quite impressive. Haha

Start quilling :)

See the combination of the watercolor and the quilling.
Now I'm one proud matchmaker! Haha

Side view is prettier I guess. Haha

I'm not impressive by this. I'm just being sarcastic.

This is not 100% completed and I know, I always fail to finish something. I have 2 other projects waiting in the line and now I have came up with a new project yet to be finished. Huargghhh!!!

Anyway, I guess I just have to try and, to see the end result is just satisfying eventhough it turned out not like what I had pictured it in mind. But I really appreciate every art work I made.

Someday, I will look back and said to myself, this is me, in 2010. This is me, in 2011... and so on.

And to be like what I am now is something I can call AN ACHIEVEMENT :)

(macam dictator tak? Tak pun gaya-gaya seorang politician, eh?)

KL view project

I was so lazy days ago.

And the thought of how boring my life would be without a project kinda making me exhausted and unexcited indeed.

Yup, I started a new project TODAY. Yeay!!

I was planning on doing something like THIS cos I was inspired by the city view and it looks simple yet the artsy feeling make me wanted to have one but I didnt have the material first hand.

Fortunately, found a piece of thick white paper and then the qulling begins....

I sketched the shape/ picture of KL view on a paper.

The sketch is based on this picture I found on google.

Folded the paper follow the sketch.

Then, glued the folded strip paper
on the thick white paper as based.

This is the KL Tower, one of the tallest building in the world.

Fill it up!

The strips.

I just can't wait how it will turn out to be. I might not be the most creative one, but I do know what I like and how do I wanted it to be.

I just remembered, that I haven't had the chance to finish up my zfi project. Pathetic.

But I promise I will, maybe not now coz my room is freaking messed up! So I need to clear out and sort things out before I started my zfi project again.

In the meantime, I AM TOO EXCITED TO FINISH THIS KL VIEW PROJECT!!!!

Art is my passion

Aku rase macam dah tersalah masuk lobang ajeee....

Mase aku tadika dulu aku suke sgt melukis siap cakap kat mak aku nanti besar aku nak jadik pelukis gituu.. Tapi agaknye orang zaman dolu2 tak nampak kot pelukis ni tak semestinye jadi pelukis komik ke, pelukis potret ke, pelukis pemandangan ke, tak pun pelukis pelan. Huh. banyak lagi jenis pelukis kat dunie ni.. termasuk laa arkitek, engineer dan segale yg melibatkan lukisan.

Mak aku balas balik cakap bende yg tidak memberangsangkan otak aku : Kalau jadi pelukis tak kaye.... (mase tadika pun aku dah paham maksud KAYE ok.. bukan kaye yg sapu roti ekkk)

Huh. Tak sampai sesaat pun otak aku terus menukar profession yang bakal aku galas lepas aku belajar... walaupun jauh di sudut hati aku ni terase macam sangat disappointed.. mak aku pun sambung laa die cakap : jadi lecturer laa... baru kayee...

Even aku tau jadi pelukis tak kaye, tapi aku still melukis walaupun lukisan aku tak cun, tapi aku tetap perasan cun sbb kat umah aku, aku sorang je pandai melukis... belagak kot siap tampal kat dinding bilik bile ade lukisan baruu hahahha

So sampai aku sekolah menengah laa aku konon2 nak jadi lecturer... bosan. Tapi mase skolah menengah aku dah pandai buat kad, pandai main gunting, pandai gune kertas kaler2... mase aku form 1, 2-3 kali gak aku menang English tag tercute gitu.. :)

Time2 tu gak aku suke sgt buat kad, maklum lee dok hostel memang tak de keje.. orang suro blaja tak nak, buat laa mende yang berfaedah sikit dari dok mengilat kuku pakai batu apekejadah setiap malam time prep dok kilatkan kuku.. hahahha so aku rajin buat kad, bagi kawan2, bagi orang yg aku suke.. ehem2 ade ke orang yg aku suke time skolah SMKA dulu??? Mestilaa ade, bertukar setiap tahun lagi uuuu.... :P

Pastu lepas form 3, aku tukar pulak nak jadik akauntan sbb aku amik akaun. Hahahaha. Mase ni nak gilap bakat pun macam tak sgt.. sbb tak de orang aku suke.. ade gak suke sorang keling ni hemsem... tapi keling. Pooodaahhh!!!

Time matrik pun aku masih bersemangat nak jadik akauntan.. sambil2 tu bakat aku buleh digilap lepas terjumpe Paeng...die laa yang jadi mangse kerakusan kreativiti aku hehehe... tapi die suke :)

Lepas abis matrik, aku dapat laa kos finance tu, sejak tu aku sendiri hilang hala tuju. Bace buku sbb nak pass aje. Study sbb nak dapat pointer ok. Sooo everything was perfect for me at that moment. Kreativiti pun masih tergilap sbb Paeng menerime seadenye...

Sampai laa saat ini, umur aku dah mencecah 24 tahun.. ape yg aku dah achieved???

Tibe2 ade laa satu hari ni, aku rase Jumaat ari tu, tak pun Sabtu semalam, aku cakap kat Paeng, aku dah salah line laaa patut aku amik interior designer ke kan, sbb aku suke sgt ID, aku suke paper art, aku suke gunting2, kertas kaler2, gam2 lekat2, paling aku suke bile hasil kerja tangan aku menjadi sangat PERFECT sekali (pade mate aku laa) pastu aku mesti mms kat Paeng, pastu die mesti cakap : Cantiknye, cutenye... kreatifnye gf sy   :D :D :D

Ohhh banggenyeee............. macam ni aku kene tingkatkan kualiti quilling art aku yg aku baru terjebak... jadi pulak kaaannn???

new passion

Semenjak due menjak ni *cheh baru start jumaat hari tuh kecoh gileee* aku dah gile quilling pulakkk (refer previous entry)

Entahlaa, walaupun aku dah try jahit manik, pastu felt pulak... pastu back tu papersss.... i'm more to paper kind of person.. even Raje once posted out on her facebook "paper cut is tree's last revenge" something like that laa making me nuts! I always keep thinking about it... myb bcoz i love paper so much and never thought of hurting the trees????

Oh sejak bile aku jadi eco-friendly whatsoever????

Tapi aku memang recycle tau ever since I work at JPN hahahaha pastu suke gile dapat duit sebab jual kertas heheheheh :P Duit tu buat beli barang2 pantry weee ~~~~

Anyway, tengok laaa creation aku pada hari yang bersejarah lazy monday ini *tak lazy laa buleh siap 2 kad tau*

Least I can say is, PROUD OF MY ART WORKKK!!!!!

Sape lagi yg nak puji memuji kalau bukan diri sendiri...

my quilling art!!!!

Ari ni baru tibe2 terase nak buat quilling yang aku asik jeling2 from miyyah@kertas...

Pastu dengan tak semena-menanye dan2 plak atas meje aku ade ketas kaler2 aku pun potong laa dengan rase nervous berbaur sikit berlagak sebab konon nak tunjuk laa boleh buat hahahaha

Pastu aku pun buat jelaaa gulung2 ketas... my quilling tool is the medium size paper clip :)

Jadi laaa pun macam niii.....

This is my first creation of quilling :)
It's a bookmark (lame!)

backside view

Semua orang pun buleh buat tau! It's so easy... just require some effort and time nak menggulung ketas tu... tapi if dah biase then it will be no problem laaa kan? hehehehe

Then, my next creation is this... a bouquet of flowers to someone special...

Tak susah pun cume imaginasi dan creativiti yang tinggi diperlukan bagi menghasilkan quill art yg cantik!!!

Tengok aje kat cini... beautifullll!!!!!!
