I just love the style

I can't remember where I found his name but I found this interesting picture captured by him before I knew who he is:

Love the idea of combining quilling with the hair dryer.

And then, I dont know how I came to the name of Carl Kleiner, I was amazed at the very first time when I saw the photographs he took in his website. I love the way he captured for ikea, stadium and more!! I was drooling over his photos for hours. And never get tired of it.

I was down the other day because of some issues about I'm not that creative, I'm not talented, I cannot go further with this, etc kind of stuff. I was so down, that I don't even have a heart to work! And then I checked my emails, browsing thru some stuff and found a picture I was interested in and it links to Carl's website. I was stunned and surprise to see how beautiful the pictures he captured and turn into an art piece.

And while browsing thru his website, I just feel good about myself again. I just did. Why such a simple egg and flour as models can be turned into some kind of awesome picture/ piece of art. And to that, I just figure out myself that everybody has a different style and art is something that symbolize the artist and his/her personalities.

Because of his picture, I am currently trying to figure out my signature style that can show me I'm different than other quillers/ crafters. I'm still lacking of skills but I'm currently learning. And I'm serious about this. In order to make full use of myself, I wanted to make more projects this year.

And yeah, some of my favorite pictures taken from Carl's to feast your eyes, and please, please agree with me that HE IS ONE VERY TALENTED PHOTOGRAPHER.

Fine. Aku tergolong dalam golongan orang yang tak saving the earth! Ok. I NEED PAPER. I LOVE PAPER.

Dari aku secondary skool, aku start buat english tag yang buat aku menang kot design ade lah 2-3 kali time aku form 1. Bodoh2 je tu. Tapi menang gak kot :D

Advance sikit, aku start buat card to friends and some crushes. Hahaha. Memang aku suke gunting, colored papers, gam apape yang sinonim dengan pembuatan handmade card. Fuh. Siap kena tegur ngan ustaz mane ntah aku tak ingat sebab suke sangat pegang gunting. Keh keh keh

Aku rase, aku dah penah bercerite pasal cinta aku terhadap kertas kot. So, tanpa membuang mase, aku straight to the present punye story. Ok. I found a blog called Miyyah@Kertas. From there laa aku start quilling. Aku memang ade bakat semulajadi bab2 kertas nih so bagi aku senang kot bulat2 je kot. Cume bile dah sampai tahap advance tu aku surrender.

Partner in crime aku - Aini - die tengok aku buat then die buat. Tapi die lagi berani mencuba. So, die sekarang memang advance gile siap ajar aku kot! Memang die kreatif laa aku nak lawan pun dah tak boleh. Maybe aku pun boleh jadi macam die kalau aku berani mencuba kan? Tak salah mencuba kan? Tapi aku tak suke buat bende pastu tak jadi. Aku malas.

The other day, Aini ajar aku macam yang die buat tu, memang laa senang tak payah gune kertas banyak tapi susah sikit nak bentuk2 sume. So jadi laa macam kat bawah nihhh hehehehehe aku buat tau!

Aku bile dah tau mule laa nak berangan nak buat untuk wedding aku nanti kann??? Mesti cantikk kaannn?? Waaahhhh tak sabar rasenye! Idak lee aku nak buat kad ke doorgift ke ape. Tapi aku nak decorate bilik aku dengan hasil kerja tangan aku nihhh confirm lebih bermakne gituuu.. tak gitu? Hehehehe

Bile aku search gambar2 quilling tu, aku terjumpa laa sorang artist ni, name die Yulia Brodskaya. Die orang Russia, tapi memang terer giler aku kagum nih! Die buat untuk macam2 ads, Starbucks, Cadbury, Nokia etc. Pegi laa gooooooooogle ek?

Bile aku dah main2 search paper art ni jumpe pulaakkk dengan seorang lagi artist, Su Blackwell, mak datok yang ini memang superb kot! Die punye base design adalah menggunakan buku tebal, die buleh buat jadi butterfly, buildings, etc. Sangat amazing ok? Just look at the picture, super fantastic!

Pastu dengan tak semena-menanye dan2 plak atas meje aku ade ketas kaler2 aku pun potong laa dengan rase nervous berbaur sikit berlagak sebab konon nak tunjuk laa boleh buat hahahaha

Pastu aku pun buat jelaaa gulung2 ketas... my quilling tool is the medium size paper clip :)

Semua orang pun buleh buat tau! It's so easy... just require some effort and time nak menggulung ketas tu... tapi if dah biase then it will be no problem laaa kan? hehehehe

Then, my next creation is this... a bouquet of flowers to someone special...

Tak susah pun cume imaginasi dan creativiti yang tinggi diperlukan bagi menghasilkan quill art yg cantik!!!
